Child labour in China is hardly a new phenomenon. For years, despite official regulations banning the employment of minors (defined by Chinese law as those under sixteen years of age), teenagers and even pre-adolescents from poorer regions of China have been drawn to the rapidly developing southern and coastal areas looking for work.

Centers will also obtain samples from allegedly abducted children, as well as from “vagrant children with an unclear history.”

May 1st of 2008 china had some troops break up a laboring group and rescued some children. Authorities in southern China’s Guangdong Province, near Hong Kong, said they had made several arrests and had already “rescued” more than 100 children from factories in the city of Dongguan, one of the country’s largest manufacturing centers for electronics and consumer goods sold around the world. The officials said they were investigating reports that hundreds of other rural children had been lured or forced into captive, almost slavelike conditions for minimal pay.
The children, mostly between the ages of 13 and 15, were often tricked or kidnapped by employment agencies in an impoverished part of western Sichuan Province called Liangshan and then sent to factory towns in Guangdong, where they were sometimes forced to work 300 hours a month, according to government officials and accounts from the state-owned media. The legal working age in China is 16.

What is your right? Privacy

Describe what it means to exercise your right.

http://www.rbs2.com/privacy.htm

The right to privacy is the personal information in a private place will not be told to other people when that can hurt or embarrass another person. It also means you have privacy toto facts, images, photographs, videotape, and disparaging opinions.

What limitations exist on your right?

http://www.insidehighered.com/news/2007/04/09/heckenkamp

The limitations to the right of privacy is you are not aloud to hide things as crime, palnning crime ahead of time. Which all include, robbery, murder, torture, terrorism, a videotape of violence, illegal assembly(building things), and etc.

Why do those limitations exist?

We have these limitations are because it keeps things in order. If we were able to keep some of these things private people would do things unimaginable to other people and there would be much more crime done than there is know. having limitations on it changes so many things.

If you had to give up this right, what would you want in return? I would like to have the right of not having to take my drivers licence test at sixteen they would just give it to you.

Why does your right exist? This right exist because Poeple need to know there Boundaries to there privacy. If this were not a right peoples privacy would be invaded much more than it is now. Privacy today is not exactly what is used to be for people especially people with money because they are invaede alot by reporters, tabloebs. The right of privacy meeds to be rewrote and made to understand for people today.

WikiAnswers - What were the effects of the Great Depression on African ...

The depression hit African Americans hard. While many African Americans were already living in poverty, white employers felt no reservations about firing their black workers first and by 1932 more than half of African Americans were out of the jobs. Racial tensions grew as economic tensions mounted, lynching's in the south saw a huge resurgence.

The Great Depression

The poor were hit the hardest. By 1932, Harlem had an unemployment rate of 50 percent and property owned or managed by blacks fell from 30 percent to 5 percent in 1935. Farmers in the Midwest were doubly hit by economic downturns and the Dust Bowl. Schools, with budgets shrinking, shortened both the school day and the school year.

Great Depression (economy) -- Britannica Online Encyclopedia

It began in the U.S. soon after the New York Stock Market Crash of 1929 and lasted until about 1939. By late 1932 stock values had dropped to about 20% of their previous value, and by 1933 11,000 of the U.S.’s 25,000 banks had failed. These and other conditions, worsened by monetary policy mistakes and adherence to the gold standard, led to much-reduced levels of demand and hence of production, resulting in high unemployment (by 1932, 25–30%). Since the U.S. was the major creditor and financier of postwar Europe, the U.S. financial breakdown precipitated economic failures around the world, especially in Germany and Britain. Isolationism spread as nations sought to protect domestic production by imposing tariffs and quotas, ultimately reducing the value of international trade by more than half by 1932. T

Race During the Great Depression

The problems of the Great Depression affected virtually every group of Americans. No group was harder hit than African Americans, however. By 1932, approximately half of black Americans were out of work. In some Northern cities, whites called for blacks to be fired from any jobs as long as there were whites out of work. Racial violence again became more common, especially in the South. Lynchings, which had declined to eight in 1932, surged to 28 in 1933.

ques 6

1.The project will start with gettin all info on the Economy know and how it was then. It will have all current info on how things are falling off now and how things fell of in the 1930's but can back up.

2. Then I will start GEtting organized on who is helping me record and costumes for the movie I will have shooting days and days of looking for more info.

3. then it will be edited by the computer any mess ups by actors or any thing that doesnt belong in the movie.

ques 5

The final part will be edited and packed with good information to let the class see how things were and how they've changed in the 70 year time period.

ques 4

My finished project will be a movie done and rehearsed. There wont be very many mess ups it will have very current info about the economy and in the past economy what happened.

I choose this way because people can see and understand how things were then and where there headed now. In using my neighborhood as an example of how things looked back then

ques 2

The final project will be done with a movie of the diff. things of the depression of the 1930's to now

research gues?

How are the ecnomic conditions of today similar/diff. to the Depression of the 1930's
